“It really has made a difference. Thank you Steve for your diligent work and spending the time to make sure that all the windows were done in such a professional way – they look excellent!” Simon Jackman, Chief Executive.
The Hope for Children Charity made contact with LLumar AFC, National Window Films, to request their assistance in resolving severe thermal comfort problems in their Hemel Hempstead office. On hot summer days, a few rooms became unbearably hot, causing great discomfort to the occupants.
A further problem was that the sun’s rays shin directly through the windows meant that a number of employees working at their desks were unable to see the screens of their computers.
In order to improve the working environment for the employees, the Hope For Children Charity decided to have Llumar Window Film installed.
LLumar’s R 20 SR HPR was chosen for its solar heat gain reduction and glare reduction specifications.
As the film was installed during a particularly hot spell, staff and volunteers could feel the temperature difference right away. The room became cooler and glare reduction was virtually eliminated. Rachel Simkin, Volunteer Manager says “The difference it will make to the team and our work in the office is fantastic.”
As LLumar’s R 20 SR HPR window film reduces room temperature, a significant reduction in air conditioning usage can be achieved, leading to lower energy costs and therefore lower carbon emissions, thus helping to protect the environment.
